On 27 June, the students took part in the ‘’Keep Siem Reap Clean’’ operation. The principle of this operation, orchestrated by the hotel industry, is to organise regular half-day town clean-up sessions in order to raise awareness of all of the players in the tourist sector, which include many of the inhabitants of Siem Ream, of the need to keep the town looking clean and attractive.
Once again this year, the Sala Baï students teamed up with the employees of the Victoria Angkor Resort & Spa hotel and high school students from the Hun Sen Wat Svay state school, to clean up the river banks from the Sala Baï School up to the town center. A total of 30,000 litres of waste was collected by the 230 participants!
